This is one of those, I never thought I would write this kind of post. Well, Never say Never! Somethings you experience and you don’t wish them on your worst enemy. Well, this is definitely one of those things. I have talked about this in the past, HERE, and that my child is truly a miracle. The thing we share could be much worse but we are SURVIVORS! Yes, cancer came for the both of us and we are both ok, THANK GOODNESS!!!
I read an article this week from an Australian girl who died of cancer and her message was the same as many others, don’t wait it’s too late to be grateful for EVERYTHING! The people, the things, and the experiences which have shaped us. I try and make an effort to be thankful and grateful but with the hustle and bustle of it all, we sometimes forget.
As the holidays came and went, my bestie was due for her final follow up from her surgery and the potential for a clean bill of health. I was really excited for her and knew with all the prayers she would be cancer free and she IS!
As a special little treat, I teamed up with my friends at Crateful Mom to create a custom basket to show her how grateful and thankful I am for her. They put together such a personalized gift by asking a couple of questions. It was beautiful, thoughtful, and shipped directly to me.
The quote: “ Give Kristina the right shoes and she can conquer the world.!”
We can share the same battle but in different ways. I was very young but remember many hospital visits and even the way the playroom was set up. Sharing something like this brings you closer together. Don’t wait until it’s too late to be GRATEFUL, do it now!
