This week I had a lot to celebrate, it was Valentine’s Day, my 6 yr wedding anniversary, and the start of a new venture! I was under the weather with all the temperature change but I am finally able to breathe. In the spirit of all things “LOVE,” I am sharing my love for my fellow blogger babes.
Community over competition is really important in the blogger world and can be just as valuable as networking in the corporate world. When you support your fellow bloggers your community grows, your network expands, and brands see the power of influence from the blogger community. It’s a win-win for all parties!
This past week I attended several blogger Galentine celebrations. Valentine’s Day should be about love for yourself, first and foremost. A celebration with “gals” was just what I needed. I enjoyed meeting new faces and seeing some of my favs gal pals.
Sarah of Gracefully Sassy and Christine of CWright Photography joined forces to have a Galentines Night out at Kate Spade. Having a boutique this cute as a backdrop makes for beautiful photography. I was able to get the cutest braid up do, sip champagne, and eat delicious cupcakes.
Shasie from Live Life In Style hosted a gals brunch at the Presidential suite at Hotel Sorella. The views from this high up were so picturesque. She had a lovely spread from Eddie V’s – the banana’s foster was divine! I love DIY and I was able to make mommy and me matching earrings from Pop Shop America. I had a quick makeup lesson from MoonSun and we ended the afternoon with some awesome giveaways from Kendra Scott (sad I didn’t win).
My hubs was out of town so I had so much fun celebrating Valentine’s this year with the gals! I spent many years as a single lady on Valentine’s Day and never minded much. I think it’s important to give yourself some gal time it can make a world of a difference! As far as my new venture goes, you will have to stay tuned until next Wednesday for the official announcement on my blog!
