I had a great time traveling these last two weeks and visiting one of my besties who lives in Amsterdam but I am glad to be home. Amsterdam was a really awesome city with lots of history, millions of bikes, crooked buildings, yummy new food, and some unique things to do. It always amazes me at the little things you can learn when you travel.
I wanted to share another travel style look, the last one was from our stay in Paris for the new year. This week I chose a more casual style for a day out sightseeing. I layered a basic black turtleneck with my motorcycle leather jacket, jeans, and floral tennis shoes. These shoes are the most comfortable pair of tennis shoes I have ever owned, not only are they cute but they have memory foam soles and are under $50. Since the weather was quite cold I made sure to wear a hat and my Henri Bendel jetsetter to carry souvenirs.
Although it did rain for most of our trip we were still able to enjoy many things including the Amsterdam Light Festival, the Anne Frank House, a dinner cruise on the canals, the Spa at Hotel Zuiver, the Heineken Brewery, fantastic restaurants, and of course Nine Streets for shopping. My favorite foods we tried were the stroopwafel, poffertjes with Nutella, Belgian fries in a cone, and bitterballen. I definitely crossed many things off my bucket list in this city and had a delightful time!
