I was invited to attend a Hispanic leadership function for the AHSA (Association of Hispanic School Administrators) last week. I thought what an awesome networking opportunity as well as being able to support a great cause. The event was held at Tango and Malbec in the Galleria area and was a meeting/fundraising event for their scholarship program. Each year they provide scholarships to Hispanic students attending accredited universities and studying education. Where would we be today without all of our educators?
The event was a success, they reached their scholarship fund goal and had a great turnout. As a high school student, I was selected to attend a LDZ event for the National Hispanic Institute and understand the importance of encouraging education and the importance of leadership to our youth. If you would like more information about AHSA or would like to donate please visit them at: Here.
Some of the HISD leaders> Stacy Garcia, Veronica Garza, and Omar Elizondo. Check out those oxfords on Omar!
For those who don’t believe it’s a small world, I ran into one of my high school counselors at the event. Still working hard in the education system to change lives and looking fabulous after 15+ years!
But first let me take a selfie- couldn’t resist the bathroom was a perfect backdrop!
My favorite Fashion Look: Anastasia Tatarskaja wearing Zara.
Dress: Donna Ricco / Handbag: Tory Burch / Heels: Donald J. Pliner
I was coming from a busy day at work- prepping for the technical conference we would be attending that weekend. One of my LBD’s was my outfit of choice. It is a classic and a true day to evening look for most any networking occasion. It is an EASY outfit and you can pair it with almost anything to change up the look. This one happened to be a jersey knit which stayed wrinkle free all day.
